I remember when the Towers were brand new, my father took me downtown to see them. This picture makes me think of that era – I was nine years old in 1971, living on the Upper East Side…
I grew up watching them rise. I wish we could just put them back.
I was 8 in 1971, also lived on the upper east side. Worked at the WTC in the early 80s. Wish New York was still a city for everyone and not a Disneyland for the rich.
